For the second year running we have been short-listed at the Western Morning News Business Awards in the “Best Use of Communications” category.

This is especially pleasing as, over the last few years, we have put more focus than ever on how we interact with our clients, both online and off.

To gauge the success of our communications efforts we conduct regular client surveys and, based on that feedback, people are increasingly satisfied with our services.

Social media is so prevalent now that it makes sense for us to use those platforms, specifically Twitter and LinkedIn, to keep people up to date with what we’re doing.

However, we know that not everyone has the time (or inclination) to engage with social media, so we put just as much effort into our “real world” communications efforts, including publishing regular “hard copy” updates on the latest accountancy rules and regulations.

We also hold regular seminars where a team of our own experts, as well as guest speakers, deliver interesting and useful talks and presentations about a range of topics, from explaining the latest Budget news to inheritance tax and advice for charity trustees.

Our nomination at the Business Awards comes hot on the heels of us being on the short-list for the British Accountancy Awards, underlining the external recognition we are now gaining for our work.

To find out more about our firm and how we do things differently, why not come to one of our upcoming Business Breakfast Briefings events?

Not only will you receive excellent advice about what the Chancellor’s announcements might mean for you and your business, you can also have a chat with one of our consultants to find out more about Thomas Westcott, its people and services.

The Western Morning News Business Awards takes place at The Crowne Plaza, Plymouth, on Thursday November 22 – good luck to everyone who has been nominated!
