Our Plymouth office has been further strengthened by the arrival of Peter Elliott and Adam Croney.

Adam (pictured left) has joined as senior manager in our busy audit team having spent the last eight years with “Top Four” accountancy practice PWC. Peter has also joined the audit team as a manager and both will work across the firms portfolio of regional and national clients.

Adam said: “My key focus has been on providing audit robustness and credibility which I will now bring to my new role at Thomas Westcott.

“I have experience in working with owner-managed businesses and very large corporates and I enjoy working with clients of all types and across every sector. Hopefully my experience from PWC will help boost Thomas Westcott’s reputation both in Plymouth, and regionally, in being able to deal with very large complicated corporate structures as well as owner managed businesses.”

Peter has worked in financial services since 2012 having started his career at Ecouis Wingrave Yeats where he trained and qualified as a chartered accountant, finishing up as a supervisor of owner managed businesses. For a period of 16 months he then worked as a finance manager for Moss Bros. Group plc. He said: “The time was right for a fresh challenge and I am delighted to have joined Thomas Westcott, especially at a time when the firm is growing fast and winning lots of new clients. My experience will enable me to build on the team in Plymouth, but also my time at Moss Bros Group plc will bring to the table the ability to see it from the client’s perspective”

Adam added: “What attracted me to Thomas Westcott is the way the firm retains its ‘grass roots’ ethos whilst embracing the challenges facing modern professional services firms, such as the adoption of new technology, providing its clients with the best of all worlds.”

Shona Godefroy is Thomas Westcott’s deputy managing partner as well as its head of the audit team. She said: “As well as providing a route into the accountancy sector for young apprentices we are also constantly searching for the brightest, most talented and ambitious young professionals to join our firm.”

She added: “Adam and Peter will make tremendous additions to our audit division, which is busier than ever, and help us provide the very best services for our clients. It will add strength to the team and hopefully boost the business sector’s confidence that Thomas Westcott really can provide the best possible advice to clients of all sizes.”
