This month we get to know new Senior Manager, Adam Croney, based in our Plymouth office.

What does your role as a Senior Manager entail?

I manage a portfolio of assurance and corporate finance clients across the firm. Based mainly in

Plymouth, I travel as needed to bring the right skills to our clients, wherever they are. I also drive our healthcare sector across all areas having 10 years’ experience in this space.

You’ve recently been appointed by the firm, what made you join Thomas Westcott at this point in your career?

Quite simply the people. I met with a number of people before joining the firm and received a great impression. It’s clear that long term relationships, professionalism and growth are the core of Thomas Westcott and these are all important to me. I was also enthused by the ambitious growth plans for the future of the firm and wanted to be part of it.

What do you like about working in the Plymouth office?

I enjoy that it is a one-stop shop for all of our capabilities. I am able to speak to specialists in a range of areas, including tax and wealth management. It is a very sociable office, everyone is approachable and has made me very welcome.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Most of my time is spent with my young family. I have two daughters, Ellie – 6 and Issy – 3, so my weekends are taken up with dancing and swimming lessons. Quite the change from weekends playing rugby in years gone by.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?

An iPad so I could enjoy its two hour battery life, sun cream and a swiss-army knife for the illusion I know what I am doing.

Do you have any hidden talents?

The one talent parenting has taught me is how to tie hair up into a ballet bun whilst half asleep!
