For private limited companies and limited liability partnerships there has been a requirement from Companies House to submit an Annual Return listing the company information, officers and shareholders ensuring the data on the public record is up to date.  From 30 June the Annual Return has been replaced by an annual Confirmation Statement.

Gift aid allows a charity or community amateur sports club to reclaim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 donated to them. A declaration is required from the donor that they have already paid tax on the donation and can cover donations made in the past 4 years. The declaration must include the charity name and the donor’s full name and address details.

Butterworth Jones and Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants were delighted to present cheques of £5,787 to Ups and Downs Southwest and £5,650 to BRACE.  A grand total of £11,437 was raised by the staff from donations, fundraising and a Charity Ball attended by more than 180 people at Batch Country House on 9 October 2015.

Special thanks go to Barclays Bank who provided matched funding of £1,000 to Ups and Downs Southwest and to everyone who generously supported our fundraising efforts by attending the event, making donations and by gifting raffle and auction prizes.
